ATLANTA -- Grady Hospital and federal authorities are investigating the theft of patient information.

Channel 2 learned someone stole the data from a subcontractor of the company hired to transcribe physician notes and patient information.

Grady said they do not believe the theft involves patient financial records and they said they would notify anyone who may be affected. Grady is assisting with the investigation.
