Award-winning journalist Tiffani Reynolds joined Channel Two Action News in May of 2005, after nearly 15-years of working as a television reporter here in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tiffani’s passion for news was sparked at a very young age, when a family friend and journalist recruited her for an undercover investigation of tobacco sales to minors. From there she charted an unconventional, global path into TV. broadcasting.

After an internship at a Tampa, Florida TV station, Tiffani enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and spent most of those six years as an Anchor and Reporter for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. Stationed in Okinawa, Japan, this University of Maryland Asian Division Alumna, provided daily radio and television coverage of world and local events for a combined military and Japanese audience of more than one-million. She received numerous commendations, including the prestigious Worldwide Airman of the Year award for Air Force journalists.

After completing her military service, Tiffani entered into commercial television. Starting as a freelancer in Atlanta in late 1989, she was soon offered and accepted a fulltime Reporter and fill-in Anchor position with an Atlanta news station. While there, she received numerous nominations and won honors including Emmy and Associated Press awards.

Tiffani’s many years of work in Atlanta have left an indelible impression on her professional pursuit of the story. She’s covered countless natural disasters from typhoons in Asia to hurricanes, tornados and floods in the southeastern United States. The spirit and determination of those whose stories she tells, hold a special place in her heart. Tiffani enthusiastically tackles all types of reporting assignments, and most loves investigative work, along with any project that helps the underdog overcome seemingly impossible odds, and breaking big stories.

Some of her assignments have led to adrenalin-generating moments which included the forced landing of a news helicopter in a rural Georgia field and flying as a passenger in an F-15 fighter jet during a simulated combat mission.

Tiffani counts, among the many highlights of her career, covering the Japan National Games of 1987, Atlanta’s Olympic story from the 1990 selection to the 1996 Summer Games, interviewing and working with First Lady Barbara Bush on her national literacy campaign and later covering her son as a successful Presidential candidate. Included in the many significant leaders Tiffani has covered are political and civic luminaries such as President Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Coretta Scott King and Hosea Williams. In January, 1997 she and her photographer survived the detonation of a secondary device while covering a bombing outside of a Sandy Springs abortion clinic. This worldwide news story provided Tiffani the opportunity to cover that sobering event to its conclusion, with the capture and subsequent confession of Eric Robert Rudolph eight years later.

As much as she loves TV News, Tiffani’s greatest thrill comes from spending time with her family; the world’s most wonderful husband and two equally awesome children.
