You can catch Elenora Andrews five days a week, filing reports for the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat.Atlanta's newest Georgia Peach planted her roots at WSB-TV in June 2005.Everyone has a story to tell. And Elenora Andrews is going to make sure you get to hear them tell it. Her passion for news has evolved and been recognized through honors and recognition from federal and state agencies and groups.Most recently, Elenora received one of the most prestigious awards from the nation's top cops: The U.S. Marshals.She has also received awards for being the first reporter to break news of international terrorism plots; a proclamation from the state of Ohio for her combined civic concern and dedication, while serving as an energetic advocate for families and children; and an award from the Ohio Optometric Association for bringing new vision technology to the Buckeye State.Elenora has more than a decade's worth of on-air experience from stations in Columbus, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wis., and Lansing, Mich.She has brought perspective to stories from behind the desk as an anchor. As a reporter, Elenora is known for asking the tough questions, digging deep to uncover corrupt actions, and then holding people and organizations accountable; bringing change to the community, one story at a time.When she's not looking for the next big story, Elenora typically spends time volunteering with The Physician's Free Clinic, reading programs within the city school system and at her daughters' pre-school.She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., The Links and the Junior League of Atlanta. She is also Sickle Cell Association boardmember, based out of Grady Memorial Hospital.In Columbus, Elenora spearheaded different initiatives as a member of the Center of Science and Industry's New Leadership Committee.Elenora enjoys working out and traveling.She lives in Atlanta with her husband, and two daughters, ages 4 and 6.
